The 8th Annual Sustainable Raritan River Conference and Award Ceremony will take place on Friday, June 10 at the Douglass Student Center in New Brunswick. In celebration of Rutgers 250th Anniversary, this year’s theme is RU on the Raritan, Exploring an agenda for Rutgers’ stewardship of the Raritan River, basin and bay. This conference will showcase work that Rutgers faculty, staff and students, and some of our Collaborative partners have been doing in the Raritan River environs and will be used to help set an agenda for Rutgers’ work in the Raritan over the coming years.
Our fundraising goal for this year’s conference is to raise $60,000 dollars that will be used to continue our efforts to promote an action agenda that meets the goals of the U.S. Clean Water Act to restore and preserve New Jersey’s Raritan River, its estuary and its tributaries. In order to meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships from organizations, businesses and individuals such as yourself.
By giving to this annual event you’ll be supporting development of programs within Rutgers to ensure the best contributions from science, planning and policy will be brought to bear for a more sustainable Raritan region. We ask that you consider the most generous sponsorship level you can manage; our sponsorship levels are listed on the attached gift form. Your donation will be recognized at our event as indicated for each level, and a portion of your gift is tax deductible for charitable purposes per IRS guidelines.
We hope that we can count on you to help support our program. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the above number or email.
